FITNESS
When people are asked why they don’t exercise, the number one reason is lack of time. But from my 25 years of experience in the fitness industry, I believe the real root cause is lack of motivation and commitment. If you’re committed to something, you’ll make the time – no matter how busy you are. So how can you find the commitment and motivation to exercise? Simple. Convince yourself of the benefits.
God created your body to be in motion. You will be healthier when you live an active lifestyle. Modern conveniences have made it too easy to live a sedentary lifestyle. I’m sure you know the increased health risks of not exercising.
Do you want more energy? Do you want to feel emotionally upbeat? Do you want to look better, feel stronger, live longer, get better at a sport? Do you want your body to operate the way God intended it too? Discover what motivates you and then stay focused on that!
Back to the time issue.
I know finding the time can be challenging. The best solution to that problem is to schedule your workouts by writing them in your calendar. Make working out an appointment that you can’t cancel. Set a reasonable goal for how many workouts you can get in during your week (hopefully, at least three!!) and then schedule them. Remember every little bit counts. Don’t think you have to do a full hour or nothing at all — if you have 20 minutes, you can still get in a workout.
Another reason people don’t exercise is because they don’t know what to do. Faithful Workouts will guide you through a safe and effective workout!
