One of the things that hurts my heart is to hear people and women especially say "I thought I would be more". The enemy is out to destroy our lives and our relationship with God and he knows that when he can rob us of our God designed identity, we are shackled to him and to his lies.
God says you are WORTHY.
Ephesians 2:4-9 ESV "But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God."
God says you are LOVED.
John 3:16 ESV “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."
God says you are CHOSEN.
1 Peter 2:9 NIV "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light."
The enemy can try his best to lie and destroy what God has created but God has the final word and His word says no enemy or weapon or calamity can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:35-39 New International Version (NIV) "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
I shared more of my heart on this topic over on the Faithful Workouts Facebook page, I hope my words will encourage you to be rooted in the truth that as a child of God you are enough.
And because I love the way music inspires and moves my soul, I want to share this song by Lauren Daigle 'You Say'. It's a beautiful reminder to believe in who God says we are and not in the lies spawned by the enemy.
