As believers, our mission is to reflect God’s love and light to the world through our actions and words and to give all the glory to God.

Something to Think About

The word “Diet” comes from the Greek word, diaita which means, “a way of living”. We should never think of a “diet” as a short term way of eating that brings about quick weight loss. If you go on a “diet” it should include a way of eating that you plan to do the rest of your life. So if you go on a “diet” that includes eating whole foods, cutting back on sugar, drinking water and watching your portion sizes then, yes, a diet will lead to a healthier weight. If you go on a “diet” that makes you feel deprived because it is very restrictive you probably won’t stick with it and if you lose any weight you will most likely put it back on. So let’s just commit to eating healthy foods most of the time forever!
