In the deepest part of every heart is a longing for more joy. Consistent joy comes only when we understand who God is (what we discussed last month) and who we are in God’s eyes. That is why we are so excited to walk you through this 4 week series.
Each Week will have a Spiritual & Physical focus.

One aspect of Knowing Yourself is knowing your food challenges. What foods are unhealthy but tempting for you? What new healthy eating habits do you want to create? During this Lenten season, I encourage you to think about unhealthy foods that you can remove from your diet during the next 40 days. Can you give up sugar for 1 week of Lent? Are chips something you can sacrifice the following week? You can try removing the things that you know are not serving your body, mind and soul well – even if you just try it for a week. Every type of exercise has it’s benefits! For example, strength training helps slow down bone loss and can reverse the loss of muscle mass. It’s so important for you to find exercise that you actually enjoy (or learn to enjoy). Michelle will be there to walk you through the worksheet with purpose questions . Great for couples/families to listen in too!

PHYSICAL HEALTH
This month, we challenged you to 3 things: 1) Get rid of unhealthy food 2) Find workouts you love 3) Eat green food. Why does any of this matter? Why does any of this matter? Because we are called to go into the “field and harvest” and this takes strength and energy. Matthew 9:37 says “the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few”. I hope this verse motivates you to make healthy choices.
This week my challenge to you is to revisit all 3 of these and put them into action this week! I promise you will feel so good and have more energy! You got this!
