A healthy, super simple side dish! It has few ingredients, most of which you may already have on hand and it can be thrown together in under 10 minutes!


  • 1 15-ounce can of black beans
  • 1 15-ounce can of kidney beans
  • 2 cups of corn
  • ¼ cup green chilies
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 T. olive oil
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 T. fresh cilantro (optional)


  1. Add the olive oil to a saucepan. Sauté the garlic until browned.
  2. Drain and rinse the beans and corn. Add to a saucepan on medium heat for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the green chiles, chili powder, and salt and stir well.
  4. That’s it! Put in a nice bowl and it is ready to serve! If using cilantro, finely chop and sprinkle on top. Enjoy!
