Ingredients
- 1 â…“ tbs butter (softened (1/2 cup))
- 4 tsp applesauce (make sure there's no additional sugar added)
- 1 tsp maple syrup
- 1/12 tsp vanilla extract
- â…™ tsp almond extract
- â…“ cups gluten-free flour (can use almond, oat, coconut or a blend of gluten-free flours)
- 2 ½ tsp sliced almonds (crushed up)
- dark chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350º.
- Mix all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix well.
- Grease a cookie sheet and divide the dough equally into balls.
- Then, shape the balls into crescent shape. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove and cool before serving.
Notes
*Optional: before baking, you can add a single chocolate chunk onto each cookie for a little extra yum! You can also melt the chocolate chips and dip one half of the cookie into the chocolate for another tasty variation.
