Ingredients 

  • ½ cup old-fashioned oats
  • ¼ cup pumpkin puree
  • ½ tsp pumpkin pie spice (or cinnamon)
  • â…œ cup milk (any kind)
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 ½ tsp maple syrup (if desired; can substitute honey)

Instructions 

  • In a saucepan, combine oats, pumpkin puree, pumpkin spice, milk, and water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer and cook over a gentle boil for 3 – 4 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand for 2 to 3 minutes. Add honey or maple syrup, if desired.
