Ingredients
- ¼ lb shrimp (medium sized, peeled and deveined)
- 1 tbsp vegetable broth (chicken broth can be used as a substitute - low-sodium, organic is ideal)
- ½ clove garlic (minced)
- 1 ½ tsp ginger (minced)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice (fresh)
- 1 ½ tsp soy sauce (use Braggs Liquid Amino Acid as substitute for gluten-free)
- 1 tbsp orange juice
- â…› tsp red pepper flakes
- â…› cup fresh basil (chopped)
Instructions
- Put broth in a pan and cook over high heat until it reaches a low boil.
- Turn heat to medium and add all ingredients EXCEPT the shrimp and basil. Cook over medium heat for 5 mins.
- Add shrimp and basil and cook for another 4 mins. or until shrimp are just cooked.
- Pour over brown rice or enjoy on its own.
