Homemade Apple Sauce
Warm, naturally sweet, and full of cozy cinnamon flavor, these easy apples make a delicious snack, breakfast topping, or healthy dessert!
Ingredients

1/2 pound apples (about 1 large apple)
- peeled, cored, and chopped

3/4 tsp apple cider vinegar

2 tsp water

1/8 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Pinch of sea salt

Pinch of nutmeg

Instructions
- Add the apples, apple cider vinegar, water, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt to a small saucepan.
- Cover and cook over medium-low heat for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples are soft.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla.
- For a chunkier texture, serve as is. For a smoother applesauce, mash with a fork or potato masher.
