Hummus

Ingredients

  • 2 oz chickpeas rinsed and drained
  • 2 tsp tahini
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp oil grapeseed or olive
  • ¼ clove garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp water
  • paprika, cumin, basil optional

Instructions

  • Add tahini and 4 or 5 garlic cloves into a blender or food processor.
  • Juice 1 lemon into the tahini mixture, and then blend together for around 5-10 seconds until well-mixed. Consistency should be fairly thick.
  • Add in the can of garbanzo beans (drain and rinse them before adding them in).
  • Add 1/4 cup of olive oil and some salt and pepper. Blend mixture until well-mixed and creamy.
  • Serve with jicama, cucumbers, and jicama to dip!
