Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups fresh basil bottom portion of stems removed
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 2 cloves garlic peeled
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • cup walnuts shelled
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • cup vegetable broth amount may vary add slowly

Instructions

  • Put all ingredients into a blender and pulse until somewhat smooth.

Notes

This makes 1 1/2 cups and can be stored in an airtight container in your refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
