Melt butter in a pan over the stovetop and transfer to a bowl. Add sliced apples to the bowl and mix.
Transfer the butter-covered apples to an air fryer (390º), and cook for 10-15 minutes or until desired doneness. Stir or flip apples halfway through cooking. Option: bake the apples in the oven on a cooking sheet at 325º for 25 minutes.
Toast slivered almonds in a pan on the stovetop until slightly browned.
Top the apples with the toasted almonds and unsweetened coconut flake.
