Brown the beef in a large skillet with the onion, onion powder, garlic, and salt and pepper to taste. Drain off excess fat. Place the beef mixture in a casserole dish.
In a bowl, whisk the eggs, salt, half and half, and 3/4s of the cheddar cheese. Bake for 20 minutes at 350º, then sprinkle on the remaining cheese and cooked crumbled bacon. Cook for 10-15 minutes more or until it is set.
