Beef in a Wok

Cooking beef in a wok is a fantastic way to achieve tender, flavorful meat with a delicious sear.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef any cut; cut thin
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce gf options such as Tamari will work
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • ½ tsp ground ginger ground white pepper
  • 1 ½ tsp ground cumin
  • 1 egg egg white
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • 1 ½ tsp olive oil can substitute sesame oil

Instructions

  • Slice beef into thin, long strips, and then soak it in cold water for 10 minutes. Rinse it under running water. Use a kitchen towel or paper towel to dry the meat.
  • Stir one egg white and baking soda and brush onto the meat. Let sit for 20 minutes.
  • Blend salt, soy sauce, ground ginger, ground white pepper, and ground cumin in a separate bowl.
  • Add the meat to the marinade and let marinate for 20-30 minutes.
  • Pour oil into a hot pan or wok with high heat, add the meat, and stir fry for 4-5 minutes until the meat is brown. Enjoy!
