If you’re anything like me, seeing certain prices of fitness equipment makes my jaw drop. A dumbbell set and weight rack can cost hundreds. A stationary bike can go for thousands.
That’s why, today, I want to share a rundown of the best workout equipment to have at home, that won’t cost you a fortune.
Whether you’re looking to tone muscles, improve cardiovascular health, or simply stay active, affordable options are available!
1. Fitness Loops
Fitness loops are a budget-friendly alternative to traditional weights and machines, offering a full-body workout without taking up much space. These stretchy bands come in various resistance levels, making them suitable for users of all fitness levels. With fitness loops, you can target muscles in the arms, legs, chest, back, and core through a wide range of exercises such as bicep curls, squats, chest presses, and rows. Plus, they’re lightweight and portable, making them perfect for home workouts or when traveling!
Although my workouts can be done without equipment, I often use fitness loops to make the sessions more challenging. You’ll feel the burn, but in the best way!

3. Workout Ball
A workout ball is another versatile piece of equipment that I incorporate into several workout videos. These inflatable balls are excellent for improving balance, core stability, and flexibility, as well as strengthening muscles throughout the body. You can put one behind your low back when doing core exercises to support your spine and between your knees to work your inner thighs. Another benefit is that they easily inflate and deflate, making for easy storage when not in use, and perfect for packing into a suitcase when traveling.

I hope these budget-friendly pieces of equipment will lead you to more fulfilling, diverse workout sessions. I also want to emphasize that you have access – RIGHT NOW – to the best workout tool around…The Word of God! This may not be its traditional purpose, but Scripture can serve as a source of inspiration, motivation, and guidance for those wanting to incorporate faith into their fitness journey.
Verses such as Luke 1:37 and Philippians 4:13 are some of my go-tos when I need an extra push to move my body. These, in particular, remind us that we are not alone on the journey to better health. God is beside us, strengthening us!
We also have a choice in what we listen to during workouts. I can’t stress enough how important it is to be mindful of the lyrics and message of the songs we choose. When we workout, chemical changes take place in our brain which allow us to retain more information. Music can help us keep our eyes, minds, and hearts on Jesus.
So yes, the Bible is a valuable – and free – tool. I truly believe it is also the most important “fitness accessory”. Never forget – God is there to help you in every area of your life.
