When I first started Faithful Workouts, I never could have imagined the ways God would use it. I had no idea the kind of people He would bring into my life or the hearts He would touch—including a sweet 30-year-old woman named Kiera.

Kiera’s dad has sent me pictures and videos over the years of her working out with Faithful Workouts. For some reason, he says she absolutely loves the show. Though she is nonverbal and faces physical challenges, she kneels down and moves the best she can, fully engaged in the workouts. At first, her family wasn’t sure how much she was understanding, but one day, during a workout, I told everyone to grab some water. In that moment, Kiera made a noise and did the hand sign for water.

I still get choked up thinking about it.

A few months ago, I had the chance to visit Arizona, where she lives. I reached out to her dad and asked if I could stop by to see her. Being with Kiera in person—seeing her joy, her light, and the love of her incredible parents—was an experience I never expected when I first felt called to this ministry. I am forever grateful that Faithful Workouts impacted her so greatly and forever grateful that God allowed me to see it.

Kiera’s story is a powerful reminder that even when we don’t see the full picture, God is at work. He is touching lives in ways we may never fully understand. Sometimes, we plant seeds and never get to see them grow—but every once in a while, God allows us to catch a glimpse.

“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.”

Ephesians 3:20

I never dreamed that when I started Faithful Workouts, I would have the privilege of meeting someone like Kiera, let alone being part of her journey in this way. It’s humbling. It’s beautiful. And it’s all God.

If you ever wonder whether God is using you, let Kiera’s story be a reminder that He is. Even when we don’t see it, even when we feel like what we’re doing isn’t making much of a difference—He is weaving together something far greater than we could ever plan ourselves.

I walked away from my time with Kiera feeling so encouraged, so reminded of God’s goodness, and so thankful that I get to be part of His work. And I hope this story encourages you, too.
