My Beyond HAPPY Moment

I just have to share this with you because it was too HAPPY to not share. (Make sure to turn the volume up to hear the precious things my mom says) My mom has always loved swimming. As a kid, I can remember her diving into any pool, swimming way out in the ocean, and smiling even in the coldest water. When she lived in Florida, we often went to the pool in her neighborhood, and I’d give her a workout to do in the water. She had quite a bit of back pain, but when she got in the water, her body felt its best. Ever since we moved her and my stepdad to an assisted living home in CO 2 years ago, she hasn’t been to a pool. https://vimeo.com/1077063448?share=copy

Well, at the urging of my son Quinn, we decided it was time to get her back in the water. My husband and both my sons were there to help. I wasn’t sure how this was going to go since she is struggling more and more with walking but what happened when she entered the water was unforgettable. I have never seen my mom so happy which of course made my heart smile so big. Take a look at this special moment.

I hope you will all take a moment on Mother’s Day and think about your favorite memories with your mom. I know I will never forget my mom’s complete joy that day in the pool.

PS: I am also so grateful to my husband and sons who jumped in the water with her! Wait until you see how they love on her.
