Glad You Joined Us!
Recently, I was having coffee with my friend Sharon. You've probably seen her in lots of Faithful Workouts videos!
We were talking and praying about some challenges I've been facing lately. I was feeling frustrated because these situations had pulled me away from something I know God has called me to do and something I absolutely love: helping women grow stronger physically and spiritually.
As we were talking, Sharon smiled and said, "What about doing No Shame November?" (A fun twist on No Shave November, which you may have heard of!)
She said it almost in passing, but something inside me immediately lit up. I thought, "Yes! That's it!"
Within minutes, we were brainstorming ways to help women experience real freedom from shame.
And now, here we are, beginning this month together!
I think this idea resonated so deeply with me because I've struggled with shame, too. In today's video, I'm sharing one of my own experiences with shame, and I hope you'll take a few minutes to watch.
I know I'm not alone. Over the years, so many women have shared how shame has affected their confidence, their choices, their relationships, and even their health.
Here's the most important thing I want you to know today: Shame does not have to keep you from living the life God created you to live.
No matter what you've done, what's happened to you, or how long you've carried shame, there is hope. You can experience greater freedom, peace, and joy.
My commitment to you this month is to pray over every message I share, asking God to use No Shame November to help you recognize the lies you've believed and replace them with His truth.
I'll also be sharing insights from psychological research, personal experiences, and, most importantly, Scripture.
And here's what you can expect throughout the month:
-
A daily lesson with biblical truth, encouragement, and practical steps to help you recognize and release shame.
-
A daily workout that I'd love for you to join me in.
-
A Monday email to start each week, including a song and recommended faith and health resources to encourage you.
All I ask is that you make a commitment to show up. Even on the days when you're busy, discouraged, or tempted to think, "I've tried to change before, and nothing works."
Those thoughts don't have to determine what happens next.
Shame doesn't get the final word. Grace does.
I hope that by the end of this month, you'll have a deeper understanding of God's love, a healthier view of yourself, and practical tools to help you move forward without shame holding you back.
I can't promise that everything will change in 30 days, but I do believe God can do something meaningful in your life when you make space for His truth.
So let's begin this month with open hearts, willing to learn, grow, and trust Him, remembering Romans 8:1: "So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus."
I'm so glad we're doing this together!
