The sheer pleasure of a cheeseburger without the carbs. Serve with your favorite cheeseburger condiments!

Ingredients
- ¼ lb ground beef (lean)
- 1 tbsp onion (minced)
- ¼ clove garlic (minced)
- 1 pinch onion powder
- ½ slice bacon (cooked, drained and crumbled)
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 2 tbsp half and half
- ¼ cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
- salt (to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350º.
- Brown the beef in a large skillet with the onion, onion powder, garlic, and salt and pepper to taste. Drain off excess fat. Place the beef mixture in a casserole dish.
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs, salt, half and half, and 3/4s of the cheddar cheese. Bake for 20 minutes at 350º, then sprinkle on the remaining cheese and cooked crumbled bacon. Cook for 10-15 minutes more or until it is set.

My family liked it and it does taste like a cheeseburger. I served it with some cubed yukon potatoes seasoned with rosemary/olive oil and cooked in the air fryer which did add carbs. It was just very rich for me so that was why I gave it three stars.

My guys, who naturally avoid bread, loved this alternative cheeseburger. The eggs added the additional protein kick they need. I had used more onion and bacon than the recipe called for since they prefer a stronger taste. I served it with a tossed green salad and watched the casserole disappear. I had made the 4 serving version for three of us, and I only ate my portion (=
