If you have spent any time around Faithful Workouts you know how much we love uplifting music. Not only is music entertaining and relaxing, but it can do wonders for our mental health by reducing the symptoms of anxiety, depression and other mood disorders.
When I am having a hard day or going though a tough season, Christian music helps my soul feel encouraged, hopeful and empowered. One thing I love about Christian music is I continue to hear the uplifting lyrics in my head as I go about my day. A few powerful worship songs can turn my entire day around! - The Commission by Cain
Can you imagine if every believer took these words to heart? “Go and make disciples…” (Matthew 28:19). That’s what this beautiful song is all about. We all have a purpose and God has a plan! How can you go out and show people the love of God? - Redeemed by Big Daddy Weave
Stop fighting a fight that’s already been won. Jesus set us free when he died on the cross and paid the price for all of our sins, no matter what they are. Breathe in his grace and mercy and start living! Walk around like you are FREE because you are. What is it that you need to leave at the cross once and for all? - Jericho By Andrew Ripp
The opposite of fear is love. There is no fear in love. Perfect love puts fear out of our hearts. (1 John 4:18) I love this song because it talks about how fear came down like Jericho walls with God’s love. - Live Like You’re Loved by Hawk Nelson
We all sin, we all mess up. But the good news is, all we have to do is ask for God’s forgiveness, and live like we’re loved, because we ARE! - Pushing Back the Dark by Josh Wilson
This song talks about being the light. In order to be the light in the world we can’t underestimate God. He is what burns so brightly in us, and when we shine and tell the world why we’re shining more people come to know Jesus! What small thing can you do today to shine? - New Day by Danny Gokey
What a fun song! There’s a lot of research that shows the first thoughts you have in the morning can determine how the rest of your day goes – your mood, your productivity, your ability to help others, etc.. so I dare you to wake up and say “this is going to be a GREAT day because I get to take another breath, live another day, and enjoy God’s beauty!” Tomorrow morning, be aware of your first thoughts and direct them to the positive! - Live Like That by Sidewalk Prophets
Every day we have opportunities to make an impact in our families, community, and the world. And guess what? It doesn’t have to be big or complicated. Our actions throughout the day have a ripple effect on those around us. We have the obligation to show the world what Jesus’ love looks like. That’s the only way people will truly believe the truth of Christ – when they see it in us. - Where I Belong by Building 429
Sometimes the world can feel dark. Don’t ever forget that this world is NOT our home. We are just travelers passing through, spreading the good news and hope that can only be found in Jesus along the way! I hope you will pray and meditate on this thought…earthly things are temporary. - Dear God by Cory Asbury
This song is a perfect representation of what we think of ourselves sometimes vs. what God knows about us. There are so many Bible verses that tell us who we are: loved, perfect, valuable, deserving, forgiven, His child, heir to the throne. Stop trying to “earn it” and put on the gift of His crown today! - Everything Comes Alive by We Are Messengers
When we are feeling dead inside, God is there. My favorite line is “My heart is beating to the rhythm of your love” Once we’ve accepted Jesus in our lives, His spirit always lives within us. Be sure to listen to the singer’s own story at the start and end of the You Tube video. - Scars by I Am They
God uses our scars, our “ugly” stories, our heartbreak to show us who He is. Remember, He let Paul keep that “thorn” in his side because it’s the thing that made Paul rely on God. Instead of being filled with regret, I challenge you to reflect on tough seasons you faced in the past and how God came through for you as only He can. I promise no matter what you are facing now, He’ll do it again. - Glow In The Dark by Jason Gray
Following Jesus means finding joy in all circumstances, including the dark times. He made us so we can “glow in the dark”. He gives us hope! “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 - Yes He Can by Cain
Do you ever reflect back on how God has taken care of you in the past? The mercy He’s shown you? The grace you’ve received? The blessings you have in your life? He’s done it before, so He’ll can no doubt do it again! - Right On Time by Aaron Cole
I bet you will be up dancing when you listen to this one! When you find yourself worrying, take it to the Cross! He’s here to help us carry our load when times are hard. “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. “Matthew 11:28-30 - You Say by Lauren Daigle
This song is a great reminder that we ARE who God says we are! Strong, loved, forgiven and valuable. Don’t believe the lies you’ve been told or lies you’ve told yourself! I encourage you to take a few minutes to journal the lies you have been believing and ask God to help you let them go! - Diamonds by Hawk Nelson
God is making diamonds out of the ashes. It’s always His refining and His timing. He is our strength when the pressure is on! - What You’re Worth by Mandesa/Britt Nicole
This song is so fun – try kickboxing to it or just any exercise! It’s very motivating and has a great beat, even for a nice brisk walk outside. A message about not people-pleasing, not trying to blend in, but rather shining exactly as you are! - Child Of Love by We The Kingdom
Don’t ever forget who you are. You are a child of the King, an heir to the throne. Don’t believe the lies and know that NOTHING can separate you from His love. - Perfectly Loved by Rachel Lampa w/ Toby Mac
Oh my this song! You need to know you are imperfect. We all are. But when God sees you He sees perfection. You are perfectly loved right now, today, exactly as you are. - Closer by Maverick City Music & Brandon Lake
This is a great song to sit with, listen to and surrender into prayer. I find myself on my knees or even laying on the floor just praying “God I want you closer”. This whole month we’re focusing on songs that can draw us closer to God. Are you spending time in His Word? Listening to Him? Praising Him? The Bible tells us everything we need to know about His heart. - Man Of Your Word by Maverick City Music
I really encourage you to watch this vs. just listen to it. Do you feel the energy build in the room? The joy that comes pouring out of everyone? It’s so important that we remember He keeps his word! “God, You have never failed, You won’t start with me” Do you believe His Word? He says so many loving things about us in the Bible. There is NO reason not to believe those words. - Look What You’ve Done by Tasha Layton
Don’t believe the lies. It’s not about what you’ve done, it’s about what He has done for us. He paid a HUGE price for sins He never committed. That shows you right there how much you’re worth. Look what He’s done, not what you’ve done. Meditate today on these lyrics and ask yourself what lies you are still believing and leave them at the cross. It’s done. Finished. He paid it ALL! - Known by Tauren Wells
I love this quote by Tim Keller: “To be loved but not known is comforting but superficial. To be known and not loved is our greatest fear. But to be fully known and truly loved is, well, a lot like being loved by God. It is what we need more than anything. It liberates us from pretense, humbles us out of our self-righteousness, and fortifies us for any difficulty life can throw at us.” - Anchor by Skillet
Psalm 46 says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. The reality is that there will be difficult times, but God promises to be our refuge. I know I fall short all the time, but He is our anchor. He’s never left us and never will. The best way to feel steady is to stay close to Him. As you go through the next 24 hours, observe if you’re putting Him first, relying on Him, thanking Him, listening to Him. It will change your life. - Dancing On The Waves by We The Kingdom
You are His masterpiece. He made it ALL for you! It’s amazing and it’s hard for us to comprehend. My favorite line is “I dare you to believe how much I love you now”. I’ve thought a lot about why the writer worded it that way – because it’s too unbelievable for us sometimes and if we truly believe it, we’re FREE!! - Joy By Kings Kaleidoscope
Oh my this song! You need to know you are imperfect. We all are. But when God sees you He sees perfection. You are perfectly loved right now, today, exactly as you are. - Celebrate by Jason Gray
This is a great song to sit with, listen to and surrender into prayer. I find myself on my knees or even laying on the floor just praying “God I want you closer”. This whole month we’re focusing on songs that can draw us closer to God. Are you spending time in His Word? Listening to Him? Praising Him? The Bible tells us everything we need to know about His character. - What If by Matthew West
This song is all about spending your time on what really matters. Today is a brand new day and as long as you have breath in your lungs and your heart is beating, it’s a gift not to be wasted! What would you do today if it was the only day you had? I know that can sound morbid, but we never know! Get out there and live like Jesus – love, be kind, help people, have compassion and most importantly, tell others about Him! - Not To Us by Chris Tomlin
Psalm 115:1 “Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness” What can you do today to let your light shine and give glory to Him? - Set A Fire by Jesus Culture
I want more of God, don’t you? The best way for me to get more of God is to sit in His Word. That could be reading my Bible, listening to a sermon or a song or sometimes all of it! Especially spending time outside in nature, which is sneak peek into heaven! How can you get closer to God? What’s one thing you can do today? - Me On Your Mind by Matthew West
Today I want you to read your Bible, but put your name in place of other pronouns. For example: “For God so loved , He gave His only Son …. so that shall not perish but have eternal life.” Doesn’t it change the whole vibe when you make it personal? That’s what this song is all about. He did everything for YOU with YOU on His mind. Believe it whole-heartedly!!
