Great on whole wheat bread, stirred into oatmeal, and atop a slice of Brie cheese!

Ingredients 

  • ½ cup strawberries (sliced; can substitute blueberries or blackberries )
  • 1 ½ tsp chia seeds
  • 1 ½ tsp pure maple syrup (can substitute honey)

Instructions 

  • Place strawberries in a covered pan and cook over low heat. Stir after 3 minutes and continue cooking for another 3 minutes. Add chia seeds and maple syrup. Cover and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until almost smooth. Put in a mason jar and allow it to cool for 10 minutes. Put on the lid and place in the refrigerator and use as needed.

Makes 3 servings.
