Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons butter (softened)
- 3 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce
- ¾ tablespoon maple syrup
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon almond extract
- 1 cup gluten-free flour (such as almond, oat, coconut, or a blend)
- 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon sliced almonds
- dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350º.
- Mix all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix well.
- Grease a cookie sheet and divide the dough equally into balls.
- Then, shape the balls into crescent shape. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove and cool before serving.
Notes
Makes 6 cookies.
1 Serving = 2 Cookies
*Optional: before baking, you can add a single chocolate chunk onto each cookie for a little extra yum! You can also melt the chocolate chips and dip one half of the cookie into the chocolate for another tasty variation.
