Ingredients
- â…“ cup whole wheat flour
- 4 tsp flax seed (ground)
- â…” tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- 4 tsp coconut sugar (can substitute other healthy sweeteners)
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 4 tsp coconut oil (melted)
- ¼ cup applesauce
- 2 ½ tbsp skim milk (or dairy-free optional)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- â…” apple ( chopped finely)
- 1 ½ tbsps walnuts (chopped (these are optional))
Instructions
- Mix together all ingredients.
- Pour batter into prepared muffin pan and bake for 15 - 18 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean and muffins just barely start to pull away from the sides of the tin.
